TJ started his career as a labour and employment lawyer before “seeing the light” and transitioning into the HR profession. As a senior HR practitioner, TJ has worked in a variety of roles including supporting maximum security jails to working as the Director of Labour Relations and Occupational Health and Safety for BC’s largest retailer. Four years ago he was hired as the Executive Director of Human Resources and Payroll Services for the District of West Vancouver. TJ has also been a part-time instructor with BCIT’s Business School for over nine years and runs a management consulting firm that specializes in strategic HR management practices. In 2012, he was appointed to the BC and Yukon Human Resource Management Association Board of Directors and serves on two additional Boards. TJ is honoured to join this panel to discuss trends in mental disorders legislation and workplace bullying and harassment from an employer’s perspective.
