Dr. Haring is a Registered Psychologist who specializes in cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) for anxiety and mood disorders and has a strong interest in increasing access to evidence-based treatments.
Since 2007, she has been a clinical consultant to the Canadian Mental Health Association’s CBT-based Bounce Back Program, providing training and clinical support to coaches across BC. Dr. Haring also serves as a national trainer for CMHA’s CBT-based Living Life to the Full course.
In addition, Dr. Haring has a special interest in the treatment of women experiencing depression and anxiety during pregnancy and the postpartum period. From 2005-2010, she served as the Provincial CBT Consultant to the BC Reproductive Mental Health Program, where she offered consultation to clinicians across BC and co-authored two self-help guides for women with depression and anxiety during pregnancy and the postpartum. Currently, Dr. Haring is collaborating with Dr. Chris Williams to create a new CBT-based course for new mothers, called “Enjoy Your Baby” based on Dr. Williams’ book of the same name.
Dr. Haring is active in teaching mental health professionals about the assessment and treatment of anxiety disorders. She has published academic papers in the areas of stress, post-traumatic stress disorder and perfectionism, and also maintains a clinical practice in North Vancouver, BC.
