Knowledge Broker, Canadian Centre on Substance Abuse
Bryce Barker is a Knowledge Broker at the Canadian Centre on Substance Abuse (CCSA), a non-profit organization based in Ottawa that provides national leadership and research to mobilize collaborative efforts to reduce the harm of alcohol and other drugs on society.
He is part of the team focused on substance use affecting the workplace, and is responsible for the development of a toolkit for employers to use in building their organization’s approach to substance use in the workplace. In order to achieve this objective, Bryce will work with stakeholders from both public and private sectors to identify current needs and emerging issues related to the effects of substance use on the workplace, and support the development of a toolkit for employers. He is accessing the best possible evidence available to develop the toolkit, while also recognizing that different stakeholder perspectives will be crucial to shape an accessible, effective resource for employers.
