Claire Marshall, the President of C. Marshall and Associates Inc. provides clients with a strong combination of Aboriginal community and corporate expertise.
Ms. Marshall has over 20 years of experience specializing in Aboriginal engagement and community development. She has several years of experience working in the natural resources sector including for BC Hydro, BC Transmission Corporation, Teck Resources, TransCanada Pipelines, Newalta and the First Nation Energy and Mining Council. Her experience in the natural resources sector has been focused on meaningful First Nation consultation, procurement strategies, capacity development and relationship building activities for First Nations and corporations.
With respect to community development, Ms. Marshall has extensive experience working for organizations in such areas as employment, education and training, children and families, housing and urban Aboriginal governance. She is active in the community and currently serves as a board member of Lu’ma Native Housing, Vancouver Aboriginal Skills Group, Vancouver Police Board and Vancouver Community College.
Ms. Marshall’s community experience combined with her work in the corporate sector gives her a unique and rounded perspective that strengthens her ability to bring diverse parties to a common understanding.
Claire Marshall lives in Vancouver, British Columbia and is Mi’kmaq from the Millbrook First Nation in Nova Scotia.
