Breakout session 2: When Your “Liability” Becomes Your Greatest Asset: An award-winning peer support program

February 24, 2016 | Vancouver

Lyne Wilson, NAV Canada

Lyne Wilson, Director, Human Resources and Employees Relations will provide insight into NAV CANADA’s journey in the development of their mental health strategy and offering mental health programs for their employees. In this session you will learn how NAV CANADA created their peer support program, Light the Way, where employees are using their own struggles with mental health to support others in the organization. This award winning program fosters an accepting workplace culture that openly acknowledges the reality of mental health conditions and has resulted in reduced short term and long term disability associated with mental health absences across the organization.
